December 25, Sunday – Cruising on Christmas Day

Today is Christmas Day although it doesn’t feel too much like it…except for the Christmas decorations around the ship and all the staff in Santa Hats.

Today we are cruising the Messier Channel in SUNSHINE.  It is a beautiful day with some scattered clouds and lots of sun.

Click here for More photos of the Messier Channel.

We stopped for a while for photos at the Tempanos Glacier.

Blue, blue ICE

Part of the top of the glacier looked like the meringue on a pie.

There was also a pretty waterfall coming directly off the glacier.

There were interesting icebergs floating in the waters around the ship.
Does this remind you of a Swan?  Or the Loch Ness Monster?

And a dolphin followed us for a while.

It has been raining down here so there were lots of small waterfalls along the fjord walls…

and the Leonides shipwreck.

We had a great time visiting at lunch with our new friends Mike and Janet from Modesto (on the left).

In celebration of Christmas we tried the eggnog.
